Hey everyone, it's Grumpy Tat! There is some serious pre-holiday stress going on over here, and at the moment it is hard to see past it all. One of my colleagues is leaving per January to start her first full-time job after graduating from law school last year. Obviously I am so happy for her, but of course this means that the usual end-of-year frenzy at the office is currently even worse (we haven't even had time to put up some Christmas decorations, the horror!). The last two months I really experienced how difficult it actually is to combine getting your Master's degree with a 3-day job as a paralegal. I feel like all I am doing at the moment is run around all the time. Of course everything will be alright, but I must admit that I look forward to the holidays, if only for some much-appreciated time to breathe! But of course I am also very much looking forward to Christmas for all the fun reasons as well! Spending time with my family, eating delicious food, and I also had a lot of fun coming up with great Christmas gifts for everybody! Can't wait to show you what I got for my cats (yeah, I am THAT kind of crazy cat lady!) :-D Below is some other stuff that made me happy the last few days: |
1) This amazing christmas card!
I am pretty sure it is partly animated, but I would SO buy this for next year if it was a real pop-up card. But 'real' or not 'real', it is still very cool and cute, and worth the watch!
2) This journal
I am not much of a diary person, but I really like the concept of this Q&A a day five-year journal, so I think I'll give it a try. It will probably be a fun read 10-20 years from now!
3) These oh-so comfy slippers
My best friend gave me these super comfy slippers as an early Christmas present, and they have hardly left my feet since!
4) The Inside Out trailer
The trailer of the newest Pixar movie, Inside Out, is just hilarious! I can not wait until it opens in cinemas next July.
5) The perfect Christmas dress
This dress from & Other Stories is just the perfect dress for the holiday season. It works both for office parties, a glamorous night out, and even family gatherings, depending on what you accessorise it with.
And how are your holiday preparations going? Stressing out, or everything under control?
