Here in the Netherlands, Autumn now finally arrived in earnest, and I am loving every bit of it, mostly because it gives me a good excuse to refresh my closet by adding a few staples for the coming colder months. I already purchased the black leather over-the-knee boots and leopard loafers from Dune, but there are still a few other items on my wish-list ;-)
- As soon as the weather drops below the 60s my hands will be ice cold for the months to come, so good leather gloves are a must-have for me. I really love these padded ones from Massimo Dutti. They have a 100% wool lining, even better!
- I am pleasantly surprised about this year's coat collection at H&M, both with regard to design, as well as the quality. This camel wool one I have been eyeing for a few weeks now.
- Any bag smaller than a tote is just not for me. I like big bags (and I cannot lie)! There's no denying that burgundy is the colour of this season, so this large Modalu England shopper is just perfect.
- Cable knits. They're the epitome of cozy. What more can I say? This cream cardigan from H&M is very affordable and cute!
- A hat just gives that extra 'panache' to any outfit, and I am totally digging this brown fedora from Massimo Dutti with a little equestrian touch.
- Only a few years ago tartan prints were considered outdated, ancient almost, but the tartan is thoroughly back in fashion now, not only in accessories but in dresses, coats and skirts as well. Having obsessively watched the new Starz' series Outlander at least five times by now, I am very much into the traditional kilt. Edinburgh Woollen Mill always has affordable ones of good quality, in a variety of tartans.
- I purchased these black leather over-the-knee boots from Dune a few weeks ago and I am very happy about the quality. The rubber soles make them very suitable for walking on slippery leaves and snow as well!
- It took me a long while to warm up to statement jewelry, but I love this set from Sole Society for sure (maybe it is because I have a weakness for tortoise prints ;-) ). You can buy the necklace here, the bracelet here and the earrings here.
- In all the chunky knit and blanket scarf frenzy I totally forgot to get myself a plain, good quality cashmere scarf that goes with everything. I lovethis one from & Other Stories (and very affordable as well)!
- The statement "animal prints are neutrals too" becomes more and more true every day, and they are quickly becoming a true wardrobe must-have. I am a total fan of the loafer, so I could not resist buying these beauties from Dune last month.
